Scientists and Engineers at Oceanit have developed a nano surfboard using nanotechnology. This is tougher, lighter and more ding resistant board. As of now the Nano Board is in the testing phase. The company has designed the board keeping in mind the rugged North Shore surf and it is twice as resistant to dings and nicks and three times stronger, hence the chances of its fracturing are quite less.
Nanotechnology is the latest fad in the high tech science industry. The microscopic nano particles which are being used are around eighty thousand times smaller than the width of the human hair and titanium nano particles are being used in the Nano board which imparts lightness and strength to the board.
This would certainly aid the surfers in improving their performance.
