Bayer has successfully developed Baytubes carbon nanotubes which could be easily implemented in industrial applications and it has been found out that they help in improving the strength and stiffness of plastic and also make it conductive.

It is being used in sports for production of baseball bats and ice hockey sticks. It could also be implemented in producing rotor blades for wind turbines and hence make them thinner and lighter and improve the output of power plants.

Also, in the automotive sector the cost of painting plastic fenders could be improved and Baytube could help in making the parts conductive and is more environment friendly. Look forward for the demonstration at the NanoSolutions trade fair going on in Cologne.
