As per a report released by Scienceline, researchers around the world are trying to find out whether nanotechnology could be used for purifying public water supplies. It is being said that nanotechnology water purification methods would become critical in industrial and public water purification systems.
Some researchers are also saying that nanotechnology could increase the popularity of reuse of water by identification and removal of contaminants which conventional technology cannot remove.
There is certainly some scope for nanotechnology methods as traditional water filtration methods have reached limitation.
