Israel is using nanotechnology in its defence sector and is developing a bionic hornet for chasing, photographing, targeting and then killing enemy insurgents. Israel is going the lethal nanotechnology way after having a bad experience fighting Hezbollah guerillas in Lebanon and from this they have realized that it was not a viable option to use aircrafts costing $50 to $100 million for fighting terrorists.
They are working to create bionic hornets and operate on a suicide mission against the terrorists. This would make them similar to micro kamikazes and they have plans of creating a functional prototype within the next three years.
Also the Israel’s defence force is working on super gloves which would give the wearer strength for detecting homicide bomber. It seems the Israeli forces are trying to utilize nanotechnology in an economic and efficient way for fighting enemies.
