It has been found out that cancer vaccines are quite effective in harnessing the immune system for killing cancer cells and preventing metastasizing of tumors but clinical trials have produced mixed results. Though DNA based vaccines have been found out to work effectively in animal models but the results have been quite poor in the case of human beings

In order to deal with this problem a group of researchers at the Colorado State University have found out that lipid based nanoparticles could be effective in boosting the DNA based anticancer vaccine activity. Their findings have been highlighted in the Cancer Gene Therapy journal.

Hopefully it can help in making cancer treatment more effective and quicker.
